Read to the Final Four 2024 is a statewide reading challenge for every third grader in the state of Arizona. This challenge will coincide with the NCAA Men’s Basketball March Madness 2024 tournament and partner with Beanstack, an online digital reading platform that will provide third graders with access to digital books to get them reading and capture minutes read.

The 40th Anniversary Endowed Scholarship Fund was created to support at-risk and first generation in college students attending Hillsborough Community College.

Scaffolding the First Generation Scholars is a partnership among the University of South Florida, Redlands Christian Migrants Association and the Foundation designed to provide professional development, tuition support, customized curriculum designs, and culturally and linguistically appropriate mentoring for a traditionally underserved group of early childhood teachers in the rural Tampa Bay area. The goal of the program is to give teachers the opportunity to earn the required credentials for early childhood teaching and to acquire the academic language proficiencies and dispositions necessary for ongoing success in higher education.

Abriendo Puertas is an innovative partnership with Chicanos Por La Causa and brings to Arizona the nation’s first evidence-based parent leadership program for Latino parents with children ages birth to five. The program works to build the capacity and confidence of parents to be strong and knowledgeable first educators, promote their children’s success, and become an integral part of their education process.

The collaborative partnership with the University of South Florida-Polytechnic will provide 96 middle school teachers in Polk County Florida with a graduate certificate in Integrative STEM Teaching and Learning. The certificate program, the first of its kind in Florida, provides 12 graduate credits of professional development focusing on STEM content, applied problem-based learning (PBL), development of integrative curriculum and inquiry-based activities, content literacy strategies, and the development and use of authentic performance and standards-based assessments. ASAP also incorporates professional learning communities and externships to provide a comprehensive professional development experience.

Funding for the ACE program identifies students at risk for dropping out of high school, and not only successfully keeps them in high school, but enables them to earn up to 24 hours of college credit, while still in high school.

Achieve Miami will increase its impact on students, educators, and schools in Miami-Dade County, with a special focus on the South Dade County region. The most impactful elements of programming will be identified through robust evaluation and model articulation and then expanded to serve more students.

This funding will provide capacity to develop and complete an intensive project design that will inform the organizational structure, mission, goals and execution strategies to reach the 60 percent goal. In addition, a plan will be developed to build multi-year funding to support the ultimate organization and implementation of ACHIEVE60AZ.
